The runners-up: Peppers, DE/TE (athletic enough to draw coverage); Mike Vrabel, OLB/TE, Patriots (still talking about his Super Bowl TD); Richard Seymour, DE/FB, Patriots (new kind of run stuffer); Adam Vinatieri, K/QB Patriots (also the league's highest scorer).

The winner is: Troy Brown, WR/PR/CB, Patriots. This guy does everything his team needs for him to do to win games. He is the epitome of Bill Belichick's unselfish, two-time Super Bowl champs. Brown leads all corners in receptions (16) and all wide receivers in interceptions (3).

Read that list again. 3 of the 4 on the list, and the winner, are all Patriots players. They could've put a few more Patriots players in there too.

But Troy. Man, oh man. Just amazing as far as being able to play both sides of the ball. And the whole Patriots team this season, I think is better then last season.
